Excellent Camera - Highly Recommend

3.0
Pros: Easy set up, Light weight, Easy to use, Battery life is good, Color is vibrant
Cons: Not super clear under dim lighting
Verdict: I have owned the same Olympus camera for the past 12 years. I refused to get rid of the big and bulky older model because it took such high quality pictures. I didn't think any camera out there could top it but I was wrong. This little camera packs a lot of bang for the buck.

Canon PowerShot A2400 IS, A2300: Simple pocket cams for casual snapshooters

3.0
Pros: The Canon PowerShot A2400 IS and PowerShot A2300 have very good picture quality for their class and are loaded with effects and filters
Cons: The cameras' flat buttons and cramped layout may make use difficult for some and shooting performance is slow, particularly shot-to-shot. The lenses require a lot of light or high ISOs when zoomed in.
Verdict: When it comes to entry-level point-and-shoots, Canon's A-series PowerShots consistently excel in picture quality. That certainly holds true for the 16-megapixel A2400 IS and A2300.

Pros: Inexpensive, compact, sharp lens and relatively fast
Cons: Poor high ISO performance and lacks image stabilization
Verdict: Canon has included a new member Canon Powershot A2300 in their A series point and shoot cameras known for fine picture quality. This ultra compact camera with 16MP sensor serves great for this looking for a fully automatic camera for their occasional photography needs.

Canon PowerShot A2300

4.1
Pros: 5x optical zoom, Small and slim, light and sleek, 16 Megapixel Sensor, Dedicated help button
Cons: No optical image stabilisation, Digital IS is not full resolution, No optical zoom while in movie mode, Poor High ISO noise performance
Verdict: The Canon PowerShot A2300 is a budget point-and-shoot-compact introduced in January 2012. It has a 16 Megapixel CCD sensor and a 2.7in screen with 230k pixels. The 5x zoom boasts a 28mm wide angle and a bright f2.8 maximum aperture, an improvement on the 4x zooms of the 2011 budget PowerShots.

Canon PowerShot A2300

3.0
Pros: Inexpensive. Compact. Sharp lens. Fairly speedy
Cons: Poor high ISO performance. Lacks image stabilization. Limited video support
Verdict: The Canon PowerShot A2300 ($149.99 direct) may seem like a bargain on the surface. The attractive metal-bodied camera is compact, it grabs sharp 16-megapixel photos, sports a 5x zoom range, and it's pretty responsive.

Verdict: This is my first camera since I purchased one 10 years ago. The Megapixels are awesome and large pictures that are developed are great. It takes great HD video too. It's very simple to use, but I was surprised that it didn't have a beach setting.

"An absolute bargain..."

5.0
Pros: Smart and efficient design, nice picture quality and reliable performance
Cons: Not too many, though no stabilization is a downfall
Verdict: Coming in at a nice, affordable price (purchased for £59.99), the Canon PowerShot A2300 is a tough cookie, and I mean that in a pleasant way. Small and compact, offering a nice range of features and an impressive ease of use and reliability, this little gem is strong and durable and can definitely...

Camera

4.0
Verdict: Nice little camera. Compact and easy to use. One fault is the delay between pressing the button to take a picture and the picture actually been taken when using the flash. Delay can ebe about 2 seconds, which is annoying, especially for those posing for the picture!!

Pros: 5x Optical Zoom Ok For, Image Stabilizer
Cons: Broke Within Days, No Optical Viewfinder

Cheap camera, cheap results (disappointing)

1.5
Pros: After using several Powershot A's and an IXUS 90IS as a companion to my dSLR's I bought this camera after the IXUS took a hit on the street. The thing is cheap, but so were other Canon Powershot A's. The image quality of this thing however is terrible in comparisson. The main problem is noise.
