Cisco Small Business SF300-24P

4.2
Verdict: Cisco's SRW range of small business managed switches has been around since its acquisition of Linksys, but they're now being replaced by the 300 Series. These have a new design and aim to offer a broader port choice with easier management, better value and support for static L3 routing.

excellent results with low cost.

Verdict: Excellent switch for networks and applications that do not require much security, or that this is controlled by another computer or controller. Excellent for WiFi applications, and with a very attractive price

Pros

5.0
Verdict: This is the second SF300-24 that I have installed to run a Ubiquiti Unifi wireless networks. The first one was installed about 3 years ago. I've not had any problems at all. Very reliable. It works great with a Mikrotik RB750GL router.
Pros: Easy to configure using GUI interface. Creating and managing VLans can be done easily, quickly
Cons: It would be nice if the console connection was USB instead of 9-pin serial. It requires an adapter. But, using GUI, the serial port isn't needed

Great value in a powerful switch

5.0
Verdict: Great little switch and the PoE & QoS makes it perfect for IP Phone setups. I run several of these in different office setups that handle all the bandwith for PoE IP phones, Servers and desktops without a glitch. Best bang for the buck out there.
Pros: Fast, Gigabit uplink ports, Reliable, Small
Cons: Max 8 port mirroring, Only 4 gigabit ports

Cisco SF300-24PP

5.0
Verdict: Configuration can be done via telnet/SSH/console in addition to webview but you cannot configure everything (especially VLANs) through those methods and MUST use webview. If the interface wasn't so buggy and horrible I'd be the first to give this switch 5 stars.
Pros: 24 10/100, 4 10/100/1000, 2 shared SFPs, 802.1q, 802.1x, etc... very full featured switch for the money
Cons: WEBVIEW. What a joke. You'd better plan on using IE 5.5 or 6 to even configure the switch using webview. Any other browser simply hangs/crashes/etc. It is a known issue with this model and the last firmware update was in may of 07
