Retail box arrived in good condition, can't wait to assemble my system.

5.0
Verdict: The CPU retail box arrived in good condition but within the small carton box where it was placed, it was not properly packaged, secured and cushioned with material. I have not assembled my DIY desktop and hope the CPU is okay. The retail box packaging with hard plastic should be good enough, I hope.

Very Efficient CPU

5.0
Verdict: Runs very efficiently, I have not managed to get the power consumption above 36W and that is hitting it hard with video rendering. Reaches around 44 degrees C under those conditions with the stock cooler supplied in the box.

Value core i5

5.0
Verdict: Performance is a bit better than my i5 3470. Runs very cool with the stock cooler. And could be easily clocked higher with suitable motherboard.

Good CPU, Deceptive Description and Slow Shipping

5.0
Pros: This is definitely an Intel Core i5 6400 - which is fantastic CPU for budget systems. The CPU is more than capable to run anything but the most demanding or enthusiast level software
Cons: Product description stated that fan and heatsink were included - I did not receive them. I received only the CPU. Now I need to file a complaint with Newegg/seller to get the heatsink/fan assembly that I paid for.
Verdict: I would not recommend buying products from PC Rush, based on this experience. I did not get the full part as described on the product page, and it took way too long to arrive. There is nothing 'rush' about PC Rush.

i5 6400 review

5.0
Verdict: Nice and fast procesor, does everything i need it to do. I am able to run gta v (with a gtx 950) at very high settings and get about 45-60fps meaning this cpu can handle most games out just now. Would recommend!

Pros

4.0
Pros: - Blazing fast despite being on the lower end (upgraded from a Core i5 2320, - Cheapest Skylake i5, - Low power draw (doesn't strain my 450W PSU, - Stock cooler works well and isn't too big (important for my mini ITX build
Cons: - Can't think of anything
Verdict: I didn't want to break the bank, yet I also didn't want to sacrifice too much performance, so this was the perfect CPU for my mini ITX build. It's the cheapest quad core Skylake available and may not have the grunt of the Core i7 models but is no slouch either - I already see tangible performance...
